Actor and model Poonam Pandey has officially confirmed her entry into the fast-growing micro-drama space with her upcoming project titled Black Widow, revealed during the Rocket Reels success celebration. The event, hosted for India’s rising vertical OTT platform unveiled by filmmaker Vikram Bhatt, brought together several digital creators and actors exploring new-age entertainment formats. Poonam’s announcement added fresh buzz to the evening as she spoke openly about her excitement for the evolving content landscape.
Speaking to the media at the event, Poonam Pandey shared her enthusiasm about working in the micro-drama format and her association with the platform. “First of all, a huge—and I mean huge—congratulations to Rocket Reels! Micro-dramas are performing incredibly well these days. I actually have a show of my own releasing with them very soon—titled Black Widow—and I am absolutely thrilled about it!” she said, highlighting her confidence in the growing popularity of short-form storytelling.
When asked about the rapid changes in the entertainment industry and how she views the shift toward OTT, reels, and micro-series content, Poonam reflected on the natural evolution of media consumption. “Well, as time passes, things inevitably change—you simply can't help it. We now have web series, OTT platforms, micro-dramas, Reels—there is just such a wide variety of content available. So, it really just comes down to the passage of time; things evolve as the times change, and we simply have to accept it,” she added, emphasizing how adaptability is key in today’s entertainment world.
Beyond her new project, Poonam Pandey continues to remain in the spotlight for her varied public appearances and evolving personal journey. She has recently embraced a more spiritual path, including a visit to the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj and attending a satsang at the ashram of spiritual leader Premanand Ji Maharaj in Vrindavan.
